Villages/Beaches

  • Benitses - working fishing village with several good tavernas and a shell museum just 15 minutes away.

  • ​Boukari - Just 15 minutes away by car, Boukari is small fish village where you can find a few restaurants such as "Karidis", a few bars to enjoy a drink by the sea and a small fishing port.

  • Petritis - A few minutes from Boukari there is another, bigger, fishing village called Petritis. You can find all you need in this village as there as plenty of restaurants like "Limnopoula" and a variety of shops and bars. There is also a little square by the sea and a bigger fishing port.

  • Halikounas - Halikounas area is only 15 minutes away with the car. Drive down to Halikouna to see Lake Korission and relax and swim on the 4km sandy beach. Drinks at Taio beach bar, lunch at Alonaki Bay Taverna. You might be lucky enough to see the flamingos who have made the lake their home.

  • Korission Lagoon - fringed by an 8 kilometre beach and a haven for flora and fauna

  • Agios Georgios/Issos ​- Agios Georgios is a popular touristic destination just 15 minutes away with car. You can find everything in this village, from bars and restaurants to shops and beaches. One of the most beautiful beaches in the island is Issos is convieniently located by Agios Georgios. Walk and relax on the huge sandy beach.

  • Marathias - Marathias is a small village on the way to the southern part of Corfu, approximately 30 minutes from Moraitika. Marathias is a small village but its beach is one of the biggest and most beautiful in the island. A variety of snack bars can be found on and around the beach to enjoy refreshments and meals.

  • Lefkimi and the southwest - Drive to Lefkimmi, Corfu’s second Town, go to Bouka Beach for its sandy beach and shallow calm water, and finish with a snack or a drink on the river back in Lefkimmi or explore the south west, almost unknown and unspoiled villages of Kritika, Neohori, Spartera and follow the road to the sandy beach of Agios Gordis South, endless sand.

  • Alykes - The Alykes of Lefkimmi consist of a peninsula of approximately 2000 acres in southern Corfu, north of the town of Lefkimmi. They border the settlement of the same name. They constitute one of the most important wetlands of the island.

  • Kavos and the most south part of Corfu - Kavos is a typical tourist "strip" a lot of bars and activities for people of mostly younger ages and the ones who like to party. However, around Kavos there are a few areas of natural beauty that one may visit such as Arkoudilas beach and Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
